I rooted my phone a while back and immediately flashed euroshank's Jellybro CM10. Since then my camera has stopped responding. When I reboot it will open the app once but when I take a picture it freezes and saves a totally black picture to my gallery. It also says "gallery not responding" but I can still open the gallery app.
I'm running CM7.2 with the stock CM kernel and no CPU tweaks.
About a week ago my camera just up and stopped working, "Activity camera (in application camera) is not responding".
When I try to open Talk, it says "Unfortunately, Talk has stopped."
When I open Gallery, it's fine.
I had the 4.2 camera installed before I upgraded to the Cyanogenmod nightly 10.1 and now I cannot get the camera or gallery to work. I read the thread on the 4.2 camera but nothing works. My shortcut on the main screen for the camera and gallery say "not installed". Any and all help would be appreciated.
So maybe someone less noobish can clarify for me. In most of the ICS ROMs I've tried including the official TELUS one, the camera and gallery look identical to the ones in Gingerbread. In CM9 I see the camera and gallery that look like ICS to me.
There is even an app in the Play Store called Gallery ICS which looks like it.
So am I missing something here?
Hi.
I guess my question is can my HTC One S have 4.2 camera and gallery without Rooting?
I don't like my gallery or camera app on 4.1.1. I have now. They don't seem fluid with Sense 4.1 on top as well.
It would be great if i could do this without root; does anyone know of a way?.
I've tried Quickpic and some other gallery apps but none are measuring up.
Hi have a stock Galaxy S3 on 3 UK. I updated to Jelly Bean a couple of months ago and today to the 4.2.1 release. However I have noticed that the camera version is still 1.5 and the gallery application is also very old. I also do not have the Google equivalent of "Swype" as a keyboard option. Any idea what's going on or what I need to do to get the "latest" applications?
I just got the 4.2.2 system update notification on my phone from Verizon. Before I install it, I wanted to make sure the 4.2 camera/gallery I installed a while back (installed from zip using CWM, renamed old cam/gallery files if I remember right) wouldn't cause the update to error out. I'm rooted and on stock 4.1.1 Build JRO03O other than the newer camera/gallery. Thanks.
I have an android application that would call the gallery so the user could pick pictures. But it returns to the precious activity with this error.
The application Camera(process.com.android.gallery) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
I have enaled a camera for the emulator, added 64 mb to the sd card. and it still doesn't work?
