Camera

As many have noticed Asus left the mount for a rear facing camera inside the nexus 7 even though they later took the camera out. My question is, what would it take to install a camera into that mount and get it to run? My guess is all it would take is the right camera and a connector that could be installed into the board beside the camera mount where the old connector was.

Okay so I've searched all over Google and asked around threads but could not get an answer. So I'm hoping someone can come in here and help me this. I recently switched from the ATT MIUI ROM to the new 4.2.2 ROM and the one thing I noticed about the camera was that it wasn't as good as the MIUI camera. Specifically the video recorder. CM records in DVD and the MIUI recorded in HD+.

I'm constantly reflashing between CM10 rom (PA) and a stock rom (Omega) and can't decide which one has a better camera app. this is very important for me.

and tried them, and still can't see a clear answer on which camera takes the best pictures.

but when i open the camera, it show the dialog "Camera error: Can't connect to the camera" even i try to install another camera app, the dialog appear again...><

can somebody tell me how to fix this problem?

I want to ask..did sony still not release camera lib for jb?waiting for camera on jb working succesfully..it will be awesome..

i have flashed almost every GB rom and kernel combination i could find. For some reason my front camera does not work at all. I tried the stock camera app and the lg camera zip with no luck. when i switch to the ffc i get weird patterns and pink fuzz and then nothing can be seen. It also doesnt work for the video chat apps.

Any suggestions? :confused:

I am a developer, but I never develop under Linux or the Kernel, however I have this question:

In order to make the camera works on ICS, why don't use the old drivers with the old camera software? That should work fine... and if you prefer to use the "new camera software" you can download ICS camera for android 2.2.
