Came over from an older version of Linux Mint to #!

http://crunchbang.org – Hello world, Just a quick, kinda, introduction.  I have been currently using an older version of Linux Mint (ver 10 Julia which has not been supported for sometime now) on a laptop that's a few years old now.  So I decided to install a new version of Mint.  Then I figured since I am installing a new version why not try a different distribution.  I wanted something based on Debian (Ubuntu I am told is kinda based on Debian, thus so is Mint, kinda?) and I did think about installing LMDE, since it would be familiar.  But whats the fun in that!  Plus LMDE is base (HowTos)
