Let's say I have a fixed line phone, say 2xxxxxxx1. I have set this phone to forward all calls to my Moto G, say 9xxxxxxxx2. Now whenever I receive a call that was forwarded, I see two numbers in the caller Id. Say the original caller was 9xxxxxxxx3, then I see the caller id as 9xxxxxxxx32xxxxxxx1, i.e.
Hi, so my friend has a Verizon S4 flashed with the HyperDrive ROM. He was showing me the other day how whenever someone called him, the caller ID name showed up as if the number was stored in his contacts. It's not like it was linked to FaceBook or anything, because it worked for completely random numbers. In the recent call logs it showed up with the name under the number.
Hi all. I'm looking for an app that will provide caller ID (and perhaps also speak the caller's name) and another app that will block calls from extensive blacklists (telemarketers, spam, scams) in addition to being able to manually block certain numbers.
Now if I can get this all in one app, that would be great.
Y Combinator-backed Next Caller, the makers of a caller ID system for businesses offering access to a secondary database containing a caller's personal information -- including their name, phone, number and, if available, email -- has come a long way since its launch at TechCrunch Disrupt last fall.
A few months ago i started using GO Contacts. Back then, I had my contacts stored on my SIM. Later on, I moved all the contacts to the phone, and deleted them from the SIM. Ever since, every few days, I suddenly see my old SIM contacts in the contact list, and I have to delete them once again.
1. Other contact apps do not show these contacts, only GO contacts.
