California M&A Activity Reaches Highest Level Since 2009, With Tech Deals Leading The Way

The fourth quarter saw a 10.4 percent increase over the third quarter and about a 25 percent increase over the same time a year earlier. The fourth quarter alone was the best one for mergers and acquisitions since 2007. Naturally, the technology sector led the way with 30.5 percent of deals or about $27.8 billion worth of deals.
