Caching the ajp connection between Apache and tomcat

http://serverfault.com – anyone has any idea how we optimize the connection between Apache and tomcat, i am using mod ajp and therefore apache forwarding the request to tomcat, but my tomcat apps contains many images which take more bandwidth, how we can optimize this ? (HowTos)

I am using fedora 15 on my machine.

I'm trying to resolve an issue about connecting Apache and Tomcat with mod_proxy_ajp. From reading I found that the problem might be the numbers of workers in the Apache and the Tomcat. So I try to find the worker's definition in the Tomcat but I couldn't find any. Can it be? Can Tomcat work without a workers.properties file?

Am using JDK 1.6, tomcat 7.0.32, and Red Hat Linux.

I want to try Google Web Tolkit, so I need to configure Apahce tomcat. Cause I've already having Apahce configured, I need somehow to redicrect my http://localhost/tomcat to a tomcat server.

At my work we have several production applications running on top of Apache Tomcat 6. The programs have a lot of auditing information (for billing purposes) and they can get rather large, growing to several gigabytes over the course of a few days. At present the only way to limit the size of those log files is to restart the Apache service every other day or so manually.

I am new to linux. I have set up my VPS with Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 32 bit. I have successfully installed Tomcat and successfully started it with /usr/share/apache-tomcat-7.0.34/bin/catalina.sh run.

But when I try to access the default tomcat page with [MyServerIP]:8080, It is unable to connect. Am I doing something wrong?

I did a restart and this is all I have in the log.
