So I went to unlock my boot loader by typing in fastboot oem unlock and it said the lock state was unlock. Then I flashed cwm recovery and flashed SU/busybox through cwm, rebooted and everything is still there! Anyone know why it didn't erase everything? I also have root, and am still on stock. Thanks!

i see an Application on android market and i like it very much in this app the developers show many methods for unlocking your car with or without keys, they collect a huge information about unlocking a car and show them graphically.
First, you should confirm that it is possible to unlock the boot loader of your phone by checking the service menu. In your phone, open the dialler and enter *#*#7378423#*#* to access the service menu.
In your phone, tap Service info > Configuration > Rooting Status. If Bootloader unlock allowed says Yes, then you can continue with the next step.
honesly I havent rooted or unlocked my bootloader yet, i dont really have a sense of urgency. at least not till aosp roms drop.
my question is, now that the boot loader has been cracked. we should expect an untethered recovery right?
also, from what i undrstand. i have to root first, then boot loader unlock, then i can flash the tethered recovery, right?

Ok, so, I would like to have some input on the BEST way to keep root and/or unlock before taking the upcoming JB update.
Had a TF300, and on their forums, best advice was to root BEFORE JB ugrade, utilizing Voodoo OTA rootkeeper to keep root.
But, what I did not catch was, if you unlock boot loader, will the device still get the OTA to JB?
Because, Asus unlock tool only works on ICS.
Hi everyone, I just got my Nexus 10 today and my computer is a fairly old iMac G5...when I try and unlock the boot loader in Terminal it says bad CPU in executable"... Any suggestions?? I'd really like to get this rooted so I can run Titanium Backup to get all my apps on here.
Well the Galaxy S III might be created for humans, but not for the development community. Well, at least for the Verizon version that is as its bootloader is locked by design. Now it was rooted over the weekend, but we need a method to permanently unlock the bootloader to allow unrestricted flashing from ODIN. Well our friends over at XDA created a bounty for anyone who can do it.
