What alternative to Busy box exists?
DO we need to publish entire userspace application if we use busy box?
Is there a simple utility which is other than busy box that can be used to perform some of the commends of busy box?

So I followed the root instructions to the letter, and I NOW seem to be having a problem with installing Busy Box and Super User isn't function. Basically it looks as if the phones running fine, no issues, no bricking but when I use Root Checker, it says I'm not properly rooted.
So should I just run through the process again???
Hello,
I have installed ubuntu 9.10 on an acer aspire 5600 and I have a very slow startup.
When checking the logs I see that there's a difficulty with a driver. After some searching I found out it had to do with the webcam (orbicam).
I decided to blacklist the driver by adding the following line in the file /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist : blacklist gspca.
Want to create LV Group but when i unmount /dev/sda5 this showing
[root@xen01 ~]# umount /dev/sda5
umount: /: device is busy
umount: /: device is busy
This means disk /dev/sda5 is busy and due to this i can't create phsical, logical volume on this disk.
[root@xen01 ~]# pvcreate /dev/sda5
Can't open /dev/sda5 exclusively.
After the lastest big upgrade I'm having some issues in the load of udev, vhba and acpid. I don't know if it's related but the lastest package that I installed was acpid.
At first glance, my question might look bit trivial. Please bear with me and read completely.
I have identified a busy loop in my Linux kernel module. Due to this, other processes (e.g. sshd) are not getting CPU time for long spans of time (like 20 seconds).
I am running Fedora 18 with the Cinnamon desktop. I am sure that when I first installed it, I was getting a busy cursor when an application was loading. However, it is no longer happening.
70% busy sounds like a fairly busy disk to me. At 80% I think about replacing them with something faster or just better...I'd also check that your partitions are all 4KB aligned si... [by TrevorH]
