http://forum.xda-developers.com – Quick question, I'm sure its been answered but I guess my search keywords are too vague. I want to stay on aokp but i tend to write long sms messages a lot and on all the aokp JB roms it keeps breaking my txt messages up into several multiple small messages which is really annoying for everyone. On sammy roms it doesnt do this. Anyway to fix this? (HowTos)

I don't know how many u guys have figured it out this workaround yet, but I still see many asking questions to the dev's about when UMS is gonna be incorporated in CM10/AOKP builds...

Hey there, I'm still fairly new to the custom Android stuff and I had a question about ROMs that isn't too clear to me.

Let me start off by saying I have made a nandroid backup, and I have flashed ROMs before on my HTC One X, but I recently switched to the S III because I was unhappy with the < 200 MB of usable RAM.

I am currently looking into trying 2-3 ROMs, AOKP, TuchMi, and maybe Cyan

AOKP not receiving txts 38 weeks 2 days ago

So I just installed AOKP ICS and I'm not receiving any text messages. Not SMS or mms. I froze the original SMS app and installed GoSMS like was recommended, have no problems sending messages, but can't receive anything. Any thoughts? Phone calls and emails both work too.

I just have a problem with these aosp/aokp/CMX roms that whenever I am sending messsages to a large number of people like 30 then a prompt comes up asking to allow to send large number of sms. Even after allowing it several times it is of no use. Is there anyway to fix these messages? Even , third party apps are of no use! Any fix avabilable ?

Personally, I can't decide between CyanogenMod or AOKP. CM is very stable (even the CM nightlies are more stable than any of the experimental versions of other ROMs), but AOKP offers more customization for the price of increased instability, though almost nonexistent.

Hi to all people out here, my problem is when I flash AOKP roms I can't connect my Wi-Fi, I recently tried CM10,paranoid android, but when I flash AOSP roms like, wanamlite, omega, Xperianze my Wi-Fi works perfectly hope you can help me with this problem

Firstly, sorry I had posted same question in (I don't know where). But I need to post it here in Verizon.

I have installed HE update, Rooted, Unlocked, IMEI backed up, Recovery installed.

#1 Do custom ROMS include the baseband or not? Meaning, does it override the HE I have installed? #2 Do ROMS need to be specifically designed for HE baseband, for me to flash them and work properly?

We all love AOKP, Paranoid, CynogenMod10 Roms for our beloved Samsung Galaxy Ace. These Roms provide Jelly Beans 4.1.2 functionality which we won't ever get on S5830. All three Roms are best and provide us with loads of functionality. But how to choose one among them?
