http://forums.fedoraforum.org – Hi, Since recent Fedora 17 kernel upgrades, my working jackd configuration XRUNs ettheir on a regular 10 seconds basis, when run in real-time mode or more randomly when not, but still exhibiting lot of de-synchronization for a config that used to work flawlessly. Upgrading to Fedora 18 and kernel 3.7 didn't solve the problem. Since Jackd is very sensitive to the hardware used, I'll be interested to know if other users have encountered the same issue, before trying to switch to a preemptive kernel, which might not be a so happy idea, as the machine is not a deidicated music server. Hi friends! I'm trying to pass my electric guitar via any rack/effects (like Guitarix or Creox) with no luck. I've got this sound card:01:06.0 Multimedia audio controller: Creative Labs [SB Live! Value] EMU10k1X 01:06.1 Input device controller: Creative Labs [SB Live! Value] Input device controllerI try with QJackCtl and invoking jackd from the terminal with any luck.

Can anybody figure out how to use jnoise or at least find the author's homepage? jnoise and jackd are both in apt, but jnoise has no manpage. I can gather that you have to start the jackd daemon, then run jnoise. But I can't actually tell exactly what to do.

Hello, im quite a new user to ubuntu and I have some problems that I'd appreciate any help for.

I'm trying to make audio work in rosegarden, and therefor installed jackd and qjackctll. That however does of course not just work on its own!

Under GNU-R (v2.10) I analyze very large series of measurement (>1GB each) and there was no Problem while running Fedora 11. After the upgrade to Fedora 12 I got an error message in R that it cannot handle the vector of size xx.xMB (the same error I got every time under Windows XP).

Hello, i'm new in the forum, so i hope i'm doin' this right. i didn't find an answer to my problem so i started this thread.

I've installed the planet ccrma core, rt kernel, jack, and other software to start recording, i've used the same software in suse and debian succesfully , but i can't make jack work in fedora.

i am using Ubuntu studio to record analog audio with Audacity and an external DAC which is connected via USB. I prefer to avoid jackd and i setup Audacity to record directly from the DAC as an ALSA device.

I would like to check if XRUNs occur, but there are no xrun_debug entities under /proc/asound/cardxx.

jackd causing kde hang up?? 10 weeks 4 days ago

So first off. I have a working jack server that has 90% of sound working (excluding system sounds and pulse for now) I have it set up so the code below executes on kde startup

Code: jackd -Rv -d alsa Now the weird bit is. that on a cold boot or restart kde hangs indefinitely on the loading screen, the hd flashes as if its working on something but doesnt get to desktop.

I have an M-Audio Delta 44 sound card and I can't get jackd to start. It worked fine under SuSE 11.1 but under 11.2 it seems to be missing something. Here's the error messages I get when I try to start it:
