I just upgraded from FC 11 to 12 and my wifi is gone. I am using a Broadcom chipset and the b43 module is loaded.

It's hard for me to copy and paste the results I've been getting because I have no connectivity on that computer. Anyway, I get the following results from dmesg: Broadcom 43xx driver loaded udev: renamed network interface wlan0 to wlan1 ..

WiFi does not work: Intel Centrino Advanced N 2230 wifi chipset (For Dell Inspiron or other laptop):

Fedora 17 default install does not recognize this WiFi chipset because it does not include the needed WiFi firmware.

Broadcom Wifi on Dell M1530 3 years 24 weeks ago

I was having a terrible time getting the Broadcom 4328 chipset working under 11.2, I however got it working by using the install_bcm43xx_driver and then searching for broadcom on software.opensuse.org/search until i found the broadcom-sta driver. I did not want to use ndiswrapper, i consider this cheating.. :)

I have a dual boot of Windows 8 / Ubuntu 12.10 on an ASUS G75VX with Broadcom 802.11ac Network adapter device 43b1. It seems that there exists no drivers for this adapter.

My Hardware

I bought Dell Inspiron 15R (5520). It comes with Dell Wireless 1704. The chipset is Broadcom 4365.
