Does anyone know if there is an HTC 4x1 weather widget (possibly even in Sense 5?). I'm not crazy about any of the alternatives for a 4x1 forcast widget (weather channel, accuweather, notification weather or weather bug).
Installed today's RC2 and found it included a weather app, called, umm, "Weather".
Strange how little weather apps and extensions seem so popular, when you can bookmark weather.gov or the Met Office or the local equivalent. But, hey, now we can all have one, and it actually works, unlike some I've tried.
We all know.... we sit at our terms, typing, typing, with one hand while roaming the galaxy wide web...our eyes glued to the term, munching our caramel popcorn and swirling a sugar loaded can of swill with the other hand.
Even though we may see the reports of the weather on our screens the reports don't really convel what is going on.
Ubuntu has no weather indicator by default since the switch to Unity. The only indicator I found in the repos is "indicator-weather". This one only half works. Sometimes the temperature next to the icon is gone (maybe the Google Weather API is to blame for this as I had the same trouble with a KDE weather indicator) and not all weather situations have a monochrome icon.
I love this widget for animated weather: Animated Weather for Android - Weather forecast application. The exquisitely realistic video effects of cloudiness, rain and snow provide the vivid sensation of current or future weather conditions for more than 50000 locations over the world.
Disclaimer: There are tons of great weather apps in the Google Play store and tastes may vary depending on what you’re looking to get out of your weather widget. I’m basing my criteria for a good weather widget on design, customization options, app responsiveness, and accuracy of weather information.
