Bridge specific VM to a physical adapter in vSphere

http://serverfault.com – I have a server with 4 physical network adapters which is currently running VSphere 5. On top of the hypervisor, I have 3 OS; 2 Linux and 1 Windows. Each of the Linux has 2 virtual network adapters. The Windows only have 1 virtual adapter. The objective I'm trying to achieve is Linux 1 Virtual adapter 1 -> eth1 Virtual adapter 2 -> vmnet Linux 2 Virtual adapter 1 -> eth2 Virtual adapter 2 -> vmnet Windows Virtual adapter 1 -> vmnet The vmnet is a virtual network whereby the Windows can manage (SSH) Linux 1 and Linux 2. For that, I have created 3 vSwitch. vSwitch 1 and vS (HowTos)

I have a question regarding VM port.

Say I have a Virtual Machine and a Host Machine. The opening ports on Host are 80, 22, 443 only. if I opened ports 80, 22, 443 VM it should be working. However if I opened port 21 on VM, will it work? If it works, does it mean the port 21 on Host is opened also?

I've got a project that there's no budget for. Basically I need to get a null modem connection set up between our phone systems(physical servers running Win2K8 32b) and our new reporting system(virtual server running Win2K3) in another location. I figured I would use a hardware serial/ethernet adapter and connect it to the VM remotely. This however is expensive at ~80+ per phone system.
