Hi
I've made few changes in the build.prop file and now the phone is not rebooting. It stuck on the white screen with htc logo. The phone is rooted and I can access to recovery mode. I have backup of the original build.prop file. The problem is that I cannot access to the system folder in order to change the file back. When I connect the phone to the computer using the USB nothing happen.
so is there a way that i can put some information in the build.prop and it will show in the settings.apk?
like the one in the "About Phone" that we can freely change the android version?
because i edited my Settings.apk and add a tab were it says "Profile"
all my personal info is there like name, phone #, location, email...etc.
it is a hassle if i want to change some info
As many of you know, there are high numbers of so-called "tweaks" you can add to your build.prop for "performance". However, after testing some of them I noticed quite a few actually hindered performance. I am not a follower of these "placebo" affects as many are consumed by. I stumbled across this article which was written by someone who shared the same results.
I am in need of build.prop configuration that lets me play most graphic intensive games. I edited my build.prop only this much
Now I was thinking now that the Nexus 4 is out if we could use its build.prop for even more playable apps.
Hi everyone. Long-time reader, first time poster here.
Well, I've gotten myself in a bit of a jam. My Relay is rooted and has CWM 6.0.1.2 running the stock ROM per one of the awesome devs working on this phone. In a bout of zeal, I found a guide for installing Google Wallet on unsupported devices that involved editing the build.prop file to have the device identify itself as another.
