hi, looking for some help with my install.

when i boot and it gets past the bios i get a black screen with 2 horizontal lines across instead of the white ubuntu loading symbol. i then hear the noise for the long on prompt. i can then log in blind and get into my install.

I just updated to F12 from F10 (did a clean install though) after updating and getting a new kernel I'm having some problems. The two kernels that I've got are:

2.6.31.6-127.fc12.i686 2.6.31.6-145.fc12.i686

My Dell poweredge server running CentOS 5.4 and booting kernel-2.6.18-164.15.1.el5. All boot processes seem okay and the graphical screens for CentOS operate, but just before the desktop load... [by hoytp]

I have a Dell R310 server. Installed CentOS 6.2 (minimal) and it won't boot. It hangs at the following error.

/bin/sh: error while loading shared libraries: /bin/sh: supported version 25416 of Verneed record

init: rcS pre-start process (405) terminated with status 127

It runs CentOS 5.8 just fine. I don't know what the error means or how to fix it.

Hi everybody.

I don't know why, but when i first boot openSUSE at the morning in my Aspire it hangs over and over again. I don't know why is this, but the gecko appear, the white bar appear, and moves 1cm, and then, puff no more blinking from the hard drive. Then i force te reboot, over and over until works.

Ive read a few similar threads, but none were the same issue...

Thinkpad Edge 13 with Intel gma450. No AMD or nVidia at all. Have been using F15/F16 since their respective release dates without any display issues on this laptop.

I installed F17 DVD iso and overwrote my existing installation of F16.

I am running Ubuntu 11.04 on a Lenovo Ideapad S10-3t netbook. It runs well under normal operation when I boot normally (load X) and choose a Desktop environment (Unity or LXDE).

Recently I tried to add a boot menu option to boot straight in to a pure terminal (command line mode) without loading X.

my htc desire hd is not booting. i can go into bootloader and i have clockwork recovery touch when i start my phone it boots into a white screen with htc logo then black screen then boot again to htc logo then goes into clockwork touch recovery help please
