Boot from USB woes

view story

http://askubuntu.com – So I've gotten my dual boot between Windows 7 and Ubuntu, but I've found that I might have underestimated the amount of space I need on my Ubuntu partition. I wouldn't have any trouble using either Windows' disk management tool or gparted to resize the partition, but Ubuntu is occupying the "right side of the disk", so all of the unallocated space I could possibly give it would be to the left, and Windows can't resize the partition like that. I need to move (shift) the Ubuntu partition to close the allocated space between it and the previous partition, and then resize it to fill the disk again (HowTos)
