Boot raided SSDs from IDE

http://askubuntu.com – This has been quite an ordeal, but I think I'm close to having what I need working. Long story short, my office bought 2 Samsung 830 SSDs for my development PC, but after installing them I realized they weren't usable due to an issue with the SATA controller on my motherboard (P5N-D). I had a PCI-X SATA card lying around, and was able to successfully install Ubuntu 12.04 on the drives, partitioned as follows and setup as a software RAID set (not fakeRAID): # /dev/sda /dev/sda1 1GB /boot (part of a software RAID 1 set with sdb, /dev/md126) /dev/sda2 8GB swap /dev/sda3 40GB / (HowTos)
