I'd like to have my Windows Chrome bookmarks on my Ubuntu Chrome.
My Win XP partition crashed, ergo I can not export my Chrome bookmarks in to an .html file in Windows. I do have my 'Bookmarks' and 'Bookmarks.bak' file.
I would like to know if there exists an API and also a command to find the bookmarks file name and path in ubuntu.
My application writes to the bookmarks file to add some short cuts. Before ubuntu 11.X the bookmarks file used to be in "/home/myname/.gtk-bookmarks", but post ubuntu 13.0X it is inside "/home/myname/.config/gtk-3.0/bookmarks".
Seriously what is up with this? I have a bunch of junk bookmarks at the top of my bookmarks list that has been added to my new Galaxy Note 2 by Verizon. What makes me so upset is that Verizon has decided I should have no choice but to stare at and not be able to delete any of their junk bookmarks.
I am unable to sync the bookmarks on my laptop with bookmarks on my Nexus 7.
I have added a folder in bookmarks on my laptop but when I show desktop bookmarks on my Nexus 7 the new folder is not displayed ?
If I make changes to the desktop bookmarks on the Nexus 7 they are not reflected on the laptop ?
OK I have sorted it myself in account settings (old age has its problems )
Whenever accessing the Activities" and/or bookmarks tab Ubuntu Touch takes ages (10+ seconds) to respond. I read somewhere that too many bookmarks may slow the performance. Not that I have that many bookmarks, but I would like to try and remove the ones I have. I have tried press-and-hold on the bookmarks, but no delete action is triggered. How do I remove them?
I want to migrate completely over to Linux. There are a few programs I "need". I'm currently using Alert Bookmarks with Firefox in Windows XP. Basically a rotating drop down menu bar with several drop down menus per bar. Bookmarks are added to a menu with a SINGLE mouse click. One directory holds up to 140,000 bookmarks.
