I just bought a Samsung Galaxy S4- love it except that bluetooth keeps disconnecting on its own. And I mean, every 2 minutes. I drive a 2013 CRV and was just until recently using Apple (which connected great with bluetooth).
I have recently acquired a Samsung Galaxy Player 4. It works great and I absolutely love it. Today I thought I would try to connect to my media machine via bluetooth to see how it worked, what I could do, etc, etc.
Unfortunately I'm not having any luck. My media machine is running Windows 7 Ultimate x64.
Got an s4 2 or 3 days ago, new phone and have a problem with the Bluetooth randomly switching on and off and can't seem to find why. I do remember enabling an option that uses Bluetooth instead of GPS and thought maybe it was the accuweather widget but can't find it in settings anywhere.
Since I discovered that there is a great deal of interference
happening when I have both wifi and USB audio running, it certainly
has been a drastic improvement to turn that off when I'm working.
I'm currently building a foot pedal controller. I have an Arduino
Diecimila that is going to transmit the simple on/off as well as
continuous controller info.
Is the usb device recognized when you run lsusb in the terminal?I don't do much BT on the pc but I seem to remember bluez and blueman from my previous adventures. Might want to run apropos to see what you've got:[redacted]@[redacted]:~$ apropos bluetooth

It used to work great. Both for Phone and Audio modes. Now, I can use my phone via bluetooth on the car stereo but cannot use it for audio mode. It connects, but gets stuck in "searching". It worked great before the 4.4.2 update.
