http://www.itwire.com – Blizzard Entertainment, creators of World of Warcraft, Starcraft and Diablo, has released details of the 5th BlizzCon convention.  BlizzCon 2010 will be a great opportunity to gain insight into the impending StarCraft II and Diablo III juggernauts.  Oh and, Ozzy Osborne will be there to add even more z’s to the event. Blizzard Announces Linux Game 19 weeks 4 days ago

"Blizzard Entertainment, the game studio behind wildly-popular games like World of Warcraft, Diablo, and StarCraft, is planning for a Linux game announcement in 2013."

They say they will target Ubuntu just as Valve has done.

I personally am hoping for a native WoW client, or, barring that, Warcraft 4 (seriously it's about time...).

According to Phoronix, Blizzard - the company behind famous games like Warcraft, Starcraft, Diablo .. - is set to release a game for Linux in 2013.

Blizzard has banned all Linux users who are playing Diablo III on Linux using Wine. A number of Linux users suddenly got a message from Blizzard that they can no longer use their account to play Diablo III any more.

Diablo III's cheat detection system is detecting Wine as a way to cheat.

As far as I know, Blizzard has banned and apologised to an unknown number of Diablo 3 players. I've not heard of any Starcraft 2 WINE users being banned, but the possibility does exist.

Diablo III is the latest action role-playing game released by Blizzard Entertainment and more importantly, it can be played on Linux, under Wine. Blizzard is still banning people running Diablo 3 on Linux, but the community is starting to take action.

We reported a few times in the past that Blizzard was banning, indiscriminately, people who were playing Diablo 3 legitimately.

The beta test is well under way, and now the marketing hype machine is powering up ahead of the release of StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty.  Blizzard Entertainment has released details of the collector’s edition of the game.

The wait is nearly over. Diablo III game director Jay Wilson, and Blizzard President Michael Morhaime, have both confirmed that the long-awaited title is coming soon.
