As soon as I open any of these medial players/editors they just hang and need to be forced closed. I can't play any media. I don't know what I did to trigger this change. It did all work before. It could be the update to 13.10, but I think it's worked since then. Even VLC won't play anything!
When using Rhythm box I once got a message about it being a bug in rhythm box or Gstreamer.
