Hi,
after a yum update, the mouse wheel stopped to work.
The mouse works correctly (left, right and middle buttons) but the wheel doesn't work anymore.
Any possible solutions?
I just bought a new mouse - just a cheapie usb wheel mouse but it has an extra 'thumb' button which I thought I might as well set up to do something useful.
I used 'xev' to determine the numbers that the OS had assigned to the buttons, and I found it wasn't quite what I was expecting:
left = 1
wheel-as-button = 2
right = 3
wheel-up = 4
wheel-down = 5
thumb = 8
I thought the right button would b
Has anyone installed Fedora in VirtualPC and had the scroll wheel on their mouse work? I managed to install 32-bit F17 as a guest OS in VirtualPC under 64-bit Windows 7 on my PC at work, and everything works surprisingly well except for the mouse. The left and right buttons work fine.
so the initial problem is the mouse wheel buttons are mismapped.
Hello, I am pretty new to linux and I decided to install Crunchbang just two days ago. I managed to configure it to my tastes, the only bit I didn't manage to fix yet is the wheel mouse. All I want to do is being able to scroll pages while I am holding the mouse wheel pushed + up/down mouse movement.
Hi everybody, hope you're fine :).
I'm coming back to you one more time because I have a problem I can't solve (and spent already a lot of time looking for an answer on the internet).
So, I have a Sun Blade 1500 x64 sparc arch with Sun OS 5.8 installed on it.
I know, SunOS is out of date, but I need that specific OS version because I'm using Cadds software wich needs that version of SunOS.

I am using a HP NK527AA Wireless mouse with two side buttons.
His mouse wheel is half broken: I can scroll but I can't click it.
In windows I configured the side buttons as 3rd mouse button but unfortunately the only available drivers are for windows.
Ubuntu treats the side-buttons as back\forward buttons and it's really annoying.
Is there a way to configure the buttons if though the is no drive
Anyone else notice some odd behavior with the wheel click in Firefox?
I've been using the mouse wheel click in Firefox forever. I'm pretty sure this problem arose with the latest updates because I got a bunch of updates yesterday and today's the first day I've seen this.
Wheel-clicks from a web page open a new tab, just like always.
I have a ps2 keyboard that has a scroll wheel on the side, it doesn't work on Ubuntu 12.04 so I though to just check xev and map the correct key. But xev doesn't show up anything when moving the scroll wheel.
The keyboard is this one (A4Tech KBS-26), it works fine on Windows without adding any extra driver. On linux most buttons work, multimedia, calculator, browser, etc.
