http://www.linuxquestions.org – Hi all, I’ve recently (abruptly) become responsible for a group of heterogeneous systems (mixed Linux variants and assorted Microsoft boxes) spread across a few different closed networks. I’m coming into the situation cold and am looking for some ideas on the best way to get quickly acclimated, learn about the servers and how the network is configured. The existing documentation is fairly spotty and I don’t have the luxury of picking the brains of the previous SA. Admin passwords were pretty much the only pass-down I received. Any suggestions for first steps would be greatly appreciated. (HowTos)
