Let me start by saying I have never used AOSP and recently rooted my phone for the first time.
I am currently running mikg 3.0 with a stock kernal.
I made this rom mostly for myself using dixda's Android Kitchen and I just needed something for my basic phone use (Phone, Messaging, Gmail, Calc, Calendar, Camera, Clock, Contacts, Gallery, Internet, Maps, Music, Files, Play Store, Video Player, Youtube). Everything else has been deleted.
I usually prefer AOSP based roms but I find stock odexed roms much smoother.
I've been migrating from many ROMs and I noticed that stock Sony ROM has a significantly better battery. Even though stock Sony has a lot of bloatware it performs better but AOSP ROMs are a lot smoother. I heavily use my phone with the screen on more than three hours and WiFi on.Has anyone other than me noticed that? Or is it just me.
This is a big one... I guess
Personally I can't decide if I sould go with AOSP or sammy based roms. I find pros and cons with both. I really like the features of the roms with full TW, but I hate the look and feel.
Hey all, long time AC member here since my good ol' Droid X.
Anyway, I just bought a GS3 after having a Galaxy Nexus since launch.
This is the AOSP camera. It has working photosphere including the viewer. Come with the AOSP gallery as well.
This will leave your stock camera and gallery intact.

I really love AOSP smoothness and features but I miss stock camera by Samsung.
Anyone tried this rom before?
I have been using it for the passed week or so and i'm pretty impressed with it.
After being on MIUI for a few months I decided to try some other roms out there. After sampling various roms and themes I have settled on this one. Its a hybrid rom half AOSP and half Samsung.
What are the differences between AOSP and TouchWiz ROMs? I flashed CleanROM 5.5.1 on my Verizon GS3 and I like it. I heard that TW ROMs are more stable, but AOSP have cooler features.
Is this true? What cooler feature does it have exactly?
How does the AOKP M1 compare with the CleanROM 5.5.1 in terms of stability and speed and battery life?
