sorry i have to put "photography" for the prefix it doesn't give any more relevant choices, like i said it my other thread i am new here so if this doesn't go here then a mod can move it, i am not sure where else this would likely go though.
anyways i am new to Ubuntu and music making in general, i played around with Garage band trying to learn it but i don't own it on my computer.
I'm making an app for an android phone (Nexus 5). I want my app to access the folder named "Music" that is already there, the same music folder that you drag and drop music files to when connected via usb.
I switched from apple to android and all I want is a music player that can recognize the music as it appears in the folders on windows when I look at the directly as it appears on my computer. I see playlists, albums, artists, yeah thats all great, I want to see a header that says "folders" I want to navigate my songs by the folder they are in as I set it up on my computer.
Music lovers have numerous strong choices for organizing and playing their collections of songs on the Linux desktop. But music creators have far fewer professional-strength options among Linux applications. But with Linux MultiMedia Studio, or LMMS, one option may be all you really need. LMMS does it all and does it all well.
