It’s showing up as the Google Asus Nexus 7 with a resolution of 768 x 1280 (that’s a portrait orientation, common for 7-inch tablets). It’s also sporting an NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core 1.3GHz Cortex-A9 CPU. The Nexus 7 tablet was the talk of Google I/O, and for good reason. For $199 you get a device with high-end specs that even today’s top tablets have a hard time competing with. With a Tegra 3 quad-core processor, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on board, and a 7-inch HD screen, it’s amazing Google and ASUS were able to manufacture this device for so little money.

Looks like Google’s Nexus 7 isn’t the only $199 Tegra 3 quad-core 7-inch Android tablet.

NVIDIA’s Tegra 4 and Tegra 4i processors were demoed today at MWC in Barcelona. NVIDIA’s new processors have been said to be more efficient with battery life while simultaneously delivering supreme performance for future smartphones and tablets. The Tegra 4, based on ARM’s latest Cortex A-15 platform, was benchmarked at 4,166 using the Geekbench 2 benchmark.

There are many things to look forward to when the annual Google I/O rolls around and new Android hardware is one of them. According to a “trusted source” close to Techno Buffalo we have at least one piece of hardware we can look forward to at this this years conference and it may even go home with each attendee.

Acer has just unveiled the Iconia Tab A110, a 7-inch Android-powered tablet that will serve as a direct competitor to Google’s Nexus 7. The device sports the same quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor as the Nexus 7, though Acer has gone a bit further and added additional features like a MicroSD slot and MicroHDMI port. The best part?

I’m not sure we need anymore evidence of the upcoming Google Nexus tablet, but a photo showed up on Picasa with EXIF data suggesting it came from a Nexus 7. This isn’t the first time we heard the name “Nexus 7,” but we’re still wondering if it’s a codename or the actual name. The picture itself isn’t revealing.

  Jelly Bean has been out for a few weeks now, so it’s only natural that we see some information on what Android 4.1 is and how it can benefit you. Of course this only applies to owners of the Nexus 7 tablet since you know… it’s the only device with Jelly Bean for now.
