Belkin wireless card in Ubuntu

http://www.linuxquestions.org – I am completely new to all UNIX-based operating systems, and installed Ubuntu 9.04 a few days ago. Naturally one of the first things I wanted to do was to connect it to the internet (from what I gather an internet connection is integral to using linux), and to connect it to the internet I needed to connect it to my home wireless network. The computer has a Belkin 54g wireless PCI card which wroked fine when the computer had XP on, and I have the cd with the appropriate driver.
