I am very new to shell scripting and I need to create a shell script that would keep track of inventory from a csv file. So if someone orders something online the program will subtract that item that way they can't sell more than they actually have. I have no idea where to begin like I said I am extremely new to shell scripting. Any help is very much appreciated.. Thank you.
I'm just learning to write shell scripts (new to the whole UNIX thing) and I'm wondering if anyone knows of / would like to help me create a "100 interesting shell scripting problems" template to help me, and others like me, to learn scripting.
I do not know shell scripting. But at work place, I have got an in and out shell scripting task. I just need to understand a very big script. Is there any tool in which I can place the script and it can tell me the meaning of the whole script?
This may sound generic and non technical to many but i can use some quality advice here. I am an technical support engineer who happens to be interested in shell scripting. My job does not need me to code and i need some advice on how i can develop my self as a shell scripting resource as i would like to make scripting / programing as one of the competency for future roles.
