Now what I want is that if at some point, I remove A, then B gets flagged as a package that is no longer needed, and gets removed, too.

In order to become efficient at learning Ubuntu or other linux flavors is it necessary to learn C and Python languages? I don't feel at ease with installing programs that are not available in the Synaptic Package Manager and Ubuntu Software Center. I got a red icon on the taskbar that tells me to run Package Manager.
I ran Software Updater and got the following error:
