I upgraded a dell mini from Fedora 17 to 18 using fedup and wireless is not working with the latest kernel.
Ok i got Fedora 11 installed on my Dell studio 1737 laptop. everything is working great except my wireless card. i have a Dell Wireless 1397, 1510 Half MiniCard and also have the windows driver if needed.
Using another post about wifi, came up with a little more info:

I just installed a Broadcom card in a Dell C610 running F17. Installed the two kmod-wl packages
from rpmfusion, and whatever they dragged in with themselves.
When the system boots up the kernel modules wl, lib80211, lib80211_crypt are not getting loaded
and a network device is not being created.
Hi,
I just moved to Fedora 11 but can't figure out how to get my wireless working. I have the broadcom driver installed and the Network Manager Applet shows the available wireless networks, but when I click on them they just don't connect. Any ideas??
I get the following output on lspci regarding the wireless adapter:
Ok so i'm completely new to linux in every way possible. I thought i would give linux a try since there was no reason not to. Usually i can pick up on things and resolve them on my own but this isnt my usual. So i have installed mint 8 on my macbook pro. But i cant seen to get audio working or the backlight on the keyboard. Also my usb wifi adapter based on the rt3070 chip.

Hi. I'm using crunchbang since a few months ago. I love the usability and minimalism of it. The only problem I have is with the wireless card. lspci -nn | grep Network01:00.0 Network controller [0280]: Broadcom Corporation BCM4313 802.11b/g/n Wireless LAN Controller [14e4:4727] (rev 01)The wireless works, but suddenly is disconnected :S with no possibility to connect again.
I booted live image of crashbang on my Asus Eee SeaShell e/w a Broadcom Corporation BCM4313 802.11b/g/n Wireless LAN Controller and it is not recognized. It IS recognized by the currently loaded OS - PeppermintOS (http://peppermintos.com/) based on Ubuntu.
