http://www.itwire.com – The Department of Human Services has signed a five year deal with Telstra, worth $474 million, to build and manage a unified communications network which will link Centrelink, Medicare and Child Support agencies around the country. {loadposition bev}Described as a boon for battlers by the Department, the network should see fewer callers left hanging on the line to speak to someone and also help remote communities access assistance quickly according to the Minister for Human Services, Senator Kim Carr.
