I am using Ubuntu 12.04. I know two methods to access the web-pages through terminal. They are lynx and elinks. When I tried to use them to access web-pages from terminal, I didn't seem to get any improvements on browsing speed. I am not sure whether it's just normal or my Internet speed is slow.
I've used Lynx, elinks and links. My experience is very limited; I've only used said browsers while installing a system or up to the point where I installed X on my laptop. When I open System Settings in Kubuntu 13.10, the fonts do not fit the space allowed for them. I get abbreviations and am unable to see the descriptions for the various entries. I am old and prefer my minimum font size to be 12 anymore. I have to strain my eyes to figure out the minimum font sizes used as default on most applications.
I installed Ubuntu 12.10 new install just 3-4 weeks ago. It comes with unity.
I'm having trouble reading Pashto in the browsers or the title bars. The letters that are in addition to Arabic don't connect and change shapes. To me it seems like a font problem. Perhaps the default font in the browsers does not support Pashto?
