I have a galaxy ace and my contacts have all disappeared. I have tried going into contacts then opening the menu, then pressed, more, display options and have looked for sim there but cant find it. I have tried to add a new contact to my sim but it only lets me save to phone or gmail and not my sim anymore.

A few months ago i started using GO Contacts. Back then, I had my contacts stored on my SIM. Later on, I moved all the contacts to the phone, and deleted them from the SIM. Ever since, every few days, I suddenly see my old SIM contacts in the contact list, and I have to delete them once again.
1. Other contact apps do not show these contacts, only GO contacts.

I dread to have to re-install/re-construct all applications and their data to exactly the same for all applications. I have no problems with phone contacts, since gmail can automatically sync all contacts to my phone.
Hello, I'm trying to help my aunt who's bought a new Samsung Ace to sync her existing contacts (some on sim card, some on phone memory) to her new google account. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I seem to be unable to change the contact group (sim, phone or google.com account) once the contact exists, just right when creating the contact.

On Samsung Galaxy Ace (model GT-S5830i), Android version 2.3.6, when I install WhatsApp, the WhatsApp application works ok.

Hi, I have recently received my new Samsung Galaxy Ace and am trying to copy my contacts from samsung PC Studio. The system is reading my Galaxy Ace as 'an unregistered model' hence it cannot proceed to download/sync from PC to mobile. I would appreciate assistance on this. I have a Samsung Galaxy S Duos running ICS. I had a few contacts having the same last name. Also since i am 24x7 online via the phone i have synced all my accounts to my phone. So it is obvious that my contacts will show the respective merged contacts.
Now here is the problem. I have stored a friend and his mother's contact separately.
