Axcient Double Dips: Wants MSPs… And VARs

http://www.thevarguy.com – Axcient, which just raised $20 million in Series D funding, continues to engage managed services providers (MSPs) but is also expanding its partner program to better serve VARs. The idea goes something like this: Continue to offer a hybrid cloud service that allows MSPs to get everything they need (cloud business continuity with on-premises hardware) for a set monthly fee, but also allow traditional VARs to resell the on-premises hardware to customers, if the customer or channel partner prefers that approach.
