http://ubuntuforums.org – Does anyone know how I could do the following in LibreOffice Calc: Cell A2 contains the value: 2+3 Cell A3 should contain the student/users answer, in this case: 5 Cell A4 gives a red X for wrong or a green check for correct Without having it process =2+3 how can I have LibreOffice Calc convert a string 2+3 to process it like =2+3 ? If I have to do it manually that's ok, I thought I could automate it. (Hardware)

When I save my LibreOffice Calc file to Exel format it won't open correctly when opened in Excel.

Hi, I am researching for a scripting project using LibreOffice's Calc built in language. First, I never programmed in calc before and I don't know how to access the scripting screen? Can anyone help? I read some online so i know the language exists.

anyhow, Let me tell a little about the project.

When i want to run the calculator, i click on unity first icon (dashboard?), and then i start to type :

ca : is showing the calculator as first result (probably because zeitgeist recorded that its the app i use the most) cal : is still showing the calculator as first result calc : is showing libreoffice calc as first result

It's annoying because if i hit "enter" libreoffice calc is launched :(

I've had some trouble with libreoffice calc in the past.What saved me was the removal of outated libreoffice-extension-* from aur and rm ~.config/libreoffice

There is a problem with LibreOffice Calc (and sometimes gedit too) that when I open a file the minimize, maximize and close buttons in the upper right corner are not displayed.

Whenever I open a cvs file from the command line using the cmd 'libreoffice --calc my_file' and libreoffice was not previously started I do not get a launcher icon for libreoffice calc.

I have a spreadsheet like this in LibreOffice Calc:

1 2 A 012345678 Henry B 012345679 George

The first column displays some ID numbers.

I need to display a shorter form of this number in another column, showing only the last two digits. This would look like this:

3 A 78 B 79

How can I show only the last two digits of a number in LibreOffice Calc?

Hello,please excuse my bad english.I have a problem. Since the libreoffice update from 3.5.6 to 3.6.1.4 libreoffice don't start. For a short time i see the splash-screen and that's it. In the terminal, when i type soffice or lowriter or libreoffice --writer i can't see any message. Also i deleted the ~/.config/libreoffice folder. But that doesn't help.

Now by sorted tables I should clarify. I'd like LibreOffice calc to create tables with the same functionalities as those formed in Microsoft Excel 2007/2010 when the table data is selected and ctrl+T is pressed. When I sort a column I want all the columns to change accordingly so that each row is lined up properly. I am running LibreOffice 3.6.4 on 12.10 if these details are necessary.
