Hi there rabid!open a terminalsudo geany /etc/slim.confUncomment and change default_user to your username and uncomment auto_login and change it to true.Save and reboot!
Upgrading to Jessie messed up a lot of my configs and programs. Autologin in Slim was one of those features. The config was simply overwritten. I fixed it by editing the following part in /etc/slim.conf to look like this:# Automatically login the default user (without entering
# the password.

Take a look at ~/.config/openbox/menu.xml. Change the entries that explicitly call geany. Use "openbox --reconfigure" in a terminal to reload the menu after you change it.
