The KDE SC 4.14 release schedule has been published over at kde.org, and unless a decision is taken to release the 4.15 follow-up, this just might be the last release of the 4.x series, with long-term support.
As such, KDE 4.14.0 will be released on August 13th, while three point and bug fix releases for 4.14 are planned for September, October and November.

The venerable Phoronix pointed out that Robert Beckebans has adopted the open source code to Doom 3 to support the recent revamped retail release, Doom 3: BFG, on Linux. Robert’s fork can be found here.
Verizon’s been having some pretty bad issues with release dates lately, and it looks like we can add 2/3 of the upcoming Droid family to that list. If you didn’t pre-order your Droid ULTRA or MAXX before today, you’ll have to wait 7 days beyond the normal release date of August 20 to get your hands on it.
After installing updates today I got a message saying that my Hardware would lose support in August, giving me the option to upgrade now which I selected. I got an error message before upgrade was completed which gave me new instructions to follow.
