I edit everything on Vegas Movie Studio Platinum v.11. Everything was fine until a couple of months ago. I was able to put my mp4 video files directly into my timeline and all was well with the world. Recently, I've noticed that when I put video files into my timeline, the audio track is out of sync and a bit longer than the video track, The only work around I've found is to convert the files to another format. Audio quality issues with mpd 40 weeks 6 days ago

I have been using mpd for a long time now and absolutely love it. However, I recently added a few video files to the mpd database. Now I understand mpd won't play the video files, I don't want it to.

But when mpd plays the audio track of the video file, there is a lot of static noise in the output. My other audio files work perfectly with mpd.

Using XUbuntu 12.04... have used Avidemux since I switched to Linux... usually works well... BUT, my Canon video camera records to .mts files... When I open them for editing in Avidemux, the sound is good, but the video is about half speed. So, I used ffmpeg to convert them to .avi files.

I'm working on a script that will search through a directory for MKV files and remux them to MP4. I found a few other scripts around the net that do this, but they all have limitations that don't always get the job done. The main limitation I've found is that most scripts look for the video track in either the first track or the last track, which isn't always true.

Ubuntu is great but I cannot edit HD video or compress video files. I tried video editing using avidemux but the audio comes out too fast. I am also trying to compress video files but nothing seems to work. I tried transmageddon and when I press the transcode button the progress meter doesn't move and nothing happens.
