Normally VLC plays all of my files just fine.
Hi guys,
I really hope someone can help. I've been using my Epic 4G Touch for recording HD video for about a year now. I edit everything on Vegas Movie Studio Platinum v.11. Everything was fine until a couple of months ago.
Doesn't matter the player.. tried SMPlayer and VLC. After opening numerous video files, the players only play audio. Video will play in Chromium and Firefox, just not in video players. I'd watch a bunch of trailers I downloaded, and after say 10 or so, just get audio. I must say I'm vexed. I'd even need a solution, just an idea of what is the issue.
I have a few high quality video files in a number of formats.
I'd like to burn them so I can watch them on my DVD player.
I'd like a program similar to Nero, which can transcode the files and burn them to a DVD, as well as doing things like automatically splitting the video up into chapters.
Quality is very important: My files are 1080p blu-ray rips, and I'd like control over video and audio qu
Introduction
If you have a music video on your computer, and you want to extract the audio to put it on your cellphone, your mp3 player, your car stereo or any other place you want to hear the music in that video, you can use ffmpeg to extract the audio.
Please be sure to respect all copy rights before using this command.
How to extract audio mp3 from a video file
Maybe the most useful application
I'm working on a script that will search through a directory for MKV files and remux them to MP4. I found a few other scripts around the net that do this, but they all have limitations that don't always get the job done. The main limitation I've found is that most scripts look for the video track in either the first track or the last track, which isn't always true.
So to start out with, I having figured out how to animate a number of still frames into a video, like this:
avconv -f image2 -i %06d.png -r 24 -qscale 1 aniron.avi
I have a bunch of files in the directory named 000000.png, 000001.png, 000002.png. I am able to make a video of sufficiently high quality this way.
I have video files in .wmv Microsoft ASF format. mplayer (console version which shows a video window without any controls) will play these but VLC won't (only audio plays). Installed mplayer-gui, but it won't launch and complains about some LIBAV-something environment variable... ?
You can easily extract audio from video files such as avi, mpg, even flv! into mp3 uses either mplayer or ffmpeg. You can even record online stream into mp3, such as stream from radio cast.
