Basically I have this Midiman M-Audio Fast Track MKII attached to my machine and when I play something the audio is "noisy". The strangest thing happens when I open the Sound Settings: the audio is playing correctly when the windows is open.
Can't hear audio after upgrading to U-10.04.
If I restart in original install I can still hear audio.
????
Recently have installed other softwares thinking something might turn the speaker on, but it still doesn't have sound.
And YES the audio level is on (not mute) and all the way up.
Can I do a compare between the two different installations to see which file might be being looked for?
I stream a lot of videos mostly on youtube. And many times the audio just crashes and I can hear nothing but the video works properly. I have to restart Chromium everytime the audio crashes. This has started to annoy me. Any help would be appreciated.I'm using a Asus K52f
Hello all,
OS: Ubuntu 12.04 installed with virtualbox on Windows 7
Headset: Mic plantronics audio 400 DSP
Issues: I cannot use the MIC but I can hear sound from the headset without problems.
Here is the sound settings:
selected Output:
LFE on Separate Mono Ouput/Amplifier Buit-in Audio
Input options:
Vido built-in audio
analog input built-in audio
line in built-in audio
microphone/microphone
I've installed a tv card but I can't hear the sound through my built-in CMedia soundcard when I watch tv with TVTime. The tv card's audio output is externally connected to my soundcard's line in input. In the 'Input' tab of the 'Sound Preferences' dialog, I can see the input level meter moving.
Hello
After a recent update I've been having sound distortion issues streaming audio files in my browser, or playing them in Amarok. However, if I play the same file in VLC the distortion goes away.
It is hard to describe the distorted sound, it is as if another layer has been added to the audio.
This is a really annoying issue that no one seams to have the answer for. I'm using the audio of my HDMI sound card (Its a Radeon HD 5450) to hear sound and it works when I'm listening to music or watching things online. But while I have that as the default device for playing audio my microphone port on my Gigabyte GA-Z77-DS3H is silent.
I could use some help troubleshooting choppy streaming audio. The problem is jerky playback regardless of audio or video with audio.
I went to a guitar playing contest yesterday and video recorded about 10 contestants. Each one lasted about 4 minutes. When I later went to watch the videos, only about the 1st 3 produced any sound. I didn't make any changes to anything while recording. Neither the phone speaker or the headphone jack works. All other audio functions are fine. Help!
