I am trying to have my computer run four operating systems, FreeBSD, Solaris 11, Fedora, and XP(soon to be 7).
My FreeBSD, Solaris 11, and Fedora are all to be partitioned on a different hard drive than my Windows OS. Currently, I have Solaris 11 and Fedora installed on this hard drive, but not FreeBSD.
I upgraded from Fedora 16 to Fedora 17 and everything is fine except autofs does not seem to work with nfs drives.
Dear Guys,
I upgraded some old systems before from fedora 4 and fedora 6 to fedora 9 and 10 using the cds, When I booted the cds of fedora 9 and 10 it detected the old installed fedora and offered to upgrade it, It sounds nice, I chose to upgrade and every thing went fine, The old fedora 4 and 6 became 9 and 10.
Hi all,
I would like to run the fedora installer without the need for any sort of boot media. I already have a Fedora 16 system running from which I would like to install Fedora 17 onto a different hard drive. Is it possible to do this without the use of a USB/DVD live system? I already have the image itself though, that I can use via loop back mount.
Best Regards,
Alex
Hello,
(I am new ot Fedora Linux)
I was wondering if someone knew of a tutorial or guide to installing Fedora 12 as the host system then installing other Linuxes (or other OSes) as VMs. When I think of other OSes I am thinking FreeBSD, openSolaris, Haiku, gOS, etc. Any help would be appreciated.
How do I get my optical drives to use static mount points in Fedora 12?
Mounting by disk label does not play nicely with Wine.
It used to be that this would be done by using gnome-mount, or editing the HAL configuration,
but it seems that these methods have been obsoleted starting with Fedora 12.
I've just converted a server from Fedora 14 to Ubuntu 12.04. "Converted" of course means a clean install.
I'm now trying to get all of the services back up and running and have some working pretty quickly, but I'm stymied on getting automount to mount work with a local directory.
