http://www.linuxinsider.com – AT&T has its iPhone, Sprint has its Pre, T-Mobile has its myTouch, and Verizon has ... what? A BlackBerry or something? Even though Verizon is the biggest network in the land -- and even though iPhone users think about Verizon longingly every time a call goes dead -- the company is not generally known for having killer phones. That may change soon. Google and Verizon have agreed to start a family together and fill their home with little Android children. Two new phones will be here in the next few weeks, and they're planning a variety of new additions for the future. (General)

Motorola's long-awaited Android phones are about to hit the market at last -- one will reportedly go to Verizon, the other to T-Mobile. None of the three companies will comment on the devices, but the blog "Android and Me" has posted what it says are tech specs on both devices.

Google on Wednesday announced the beta release of a GPS navigation application for Android 2.0 devices. The application is part of Google Maps for mobile.

Ever since RIM stopped releasing new phones Sprint has tried to use Moto phones as a Blackberry substitute - middle-of-the-road specs with hardware keyboards (XPRT, Admiral, Photon Q LTE) while ATT & Verizon got the Droid and RAZR lines of flagship phones. Now that Blackberry is filling the hardware keyboard void again will Moto start showing Sprint some Android flagship love?

If I had my way, I would encourage Verizon Wireless to invest in both hologram technology and more "Star Wars" film rights.

Apple rolled out a carrier update for Verizon customers suffering a bug that caused the iPhone 5 to use cellular data while connected to Wi-Fi, and now Verizon is officially alerting customers that it’s available and that they won’t be charged for the error.

Android Central, could you help me out? I am going to pre-order the S4 when it's announced, but now I have the dilemma of choosing Verizon or AT&T. I just dropped Sprint (Service BLOWS when I visit my family in Southern NJ) and I have until the 25th to port my number over to another carrier. T-Mobile is not an option as the service where I am is very questionable.

Verizon has officially told the AP that the SIM slot on its iPhone 5, which shipped unlocked, won’t be re-locked later on, as was the case with the initial shipment of Sprint iPhone 4S devices sold last year.
