https://bbs.archlinux.org – I tried setting up fglrx but can't get it. I installed catalyst-hook like described in ATI Catatlyst in the wiki. Along with the appropriate version of xorg-server. I recently updated the driver for my ATI HD 4890 video card from 9.8. The install went without any problems and I then did aticonfig --initial.

ive tried a search and Im sure ive missed the answer to this but having problems boooting in X with the fglrx installed and here is a the famous DRI issue:-

I have installed fglrx driver and I'd like to be able to use desktop effects. Also I cant open the catalyst control center. The repository ait driver will not install because of incompatibility of a pre req package. I get the following error:
