Hi,
I have the following problem: the installation of Lubuntu 12.10 stops in the second step. What is? The second step is where it says you are connected to the Internet, the disk space you have and present the options to selected third-party downloads and/or restricted.
hi,
I've had problems with my laptop every since updating to 12.10. Blue colors appear green on my screen; my lubuntu logo is green, and the default desktop is green as well. It's as if the G and B signals for the pixels have been swapped. In my other thread, I found that I already have the drivers for my graphics card in the system.
I'm planning to install Lubuntu 12.10 (32-bit) on the following PC. Will it work or is the hardware too old?
CPU: Intel Celeron 2.0GHz
RAM: 512MB
GPU: GeForce 4 MX 440 with AGP8x
I'm especially worried that the GPU won't have drivers. The computer is used by my parents to surf the web, so if it can play Flash video, everything is fine.

Hello everyone.
I use Lubuntu on one desktop and Ubuntu on a laptop. Dropbox is my main cloud syncing service but I have created an Ubuntu One SSO account in order to backup my home folders.
At first, I was not able to use Ubuntu One on Lubuntu - after installing it from synaptics, when I tried to open it, nothing happens except opening a blank terminal window.
Hello!
I'm french user of lubuntu, sorry for my poor english.
I try to install lubuntu quantal on sony vaio vpcyb1s1e. I can try lubuntu with usb-key. I can install lubuntu quantal. When it's finished, i reboot and lubuntu starts but stops in starter panel.

(lubuntu 12.04 works without problems)
Thanks for your help.
In my last review I considered Kubuntu 11.04 as an alternative to Ubuntu for disgruntled Ubuntu users. But there's another Ubuntu derivative that should be taken into consideration as well: Lubuntu 11.04.
Lubuntu uses the LXDE desktop environment, a much simpler and faster alternative to Unity, GNOME and KDE.
I just tried to install Lubuntu onto my old laptop but I am having some difficulties. I have searched online for help and believe that my problem is that I need to install video drivers but I have been unable to find a step by step for somebody like me - first time user.
