ath9k module loaded but can't connect to 802.11n network

http://forums.opensuse.org – Hi, I have an Acer 1551-4755 notebook with AR5B93 wireless chipset. ath9k is loaded and my card is detected as Atheros AR928X PCI-Express wireless network adapter. However, the ath9k driver is only allowing me to connect at 802.11g speed in spite of the fact that my WRT310N loaded with DD-WRT is in mixed mode. I am able to connect at wireless N speed with my D-Link DWA-130 usb dongle, but this is a rather backward solution. Is there a way to work around this issue, ie an updated ath9k or other madwifi driver? I would hate to resort to ndiswrapper for a natively supported chipset. I am us (Distributions)

Can anyone help me, i have a AR928X wireless card and everything i have tried has failed

the default driver ath9k scans and connects to my router but cant connect to any site or ping anything , same with the madwifi driver

Just recently installed Crunchbang Waldorf on my Acer Aspire One 722. My problem is that it will not connect to any local wireless networks. Two here are open, and one is secured (I forget the protocol). Upon selecting them in nm-applet it will spin for a while then show "The network connection has been disconnected", stop, then resume the cycle.

I'm running 12.04 (64-bit) with kernel 3.5.4 and all is well, very well actually, with the exception of one thing. I can not for the life of me get my wifi to connect at N-speeds. I also have a MacBook sitting right beside me and it connects just fine with the double the wife speed I have. I have an Atheros AR9485 Wireless N card in the laptop (Asus N56V).

As the title suggests, I'm using the ath9k driver, and the speeds are just abysmal, often less than 100 kbps. I've tried several fixes... and nothing has worked for me.

hello every body i just installed ubuntu on my new laptop ( acer aspire 5732z) and i think i have a problem with my wireless driver using windows i can detect wireless from any room in my house with a strong signal but using ubuntu i need to be too close so my laptop can detect the wireless

I have a laptop, laptops are pretty useless with out wireless, and it is currently a major road block. I've been trying to research this and find fixes for it.
