I have a disk, say /dev/sda.

Plugged my external hard drive into my laptop. I assume that I have to mount it before I can access my files?

my ubuntu desktop seems to be running very slow, I wonder if the swap is mounted correctly?

I'm running Kubuntu 12.04.1 LTS and Kubuntu hasn't recognised my CD!
