I recently purchased a ASUS 1225C cedar trail netbook.
Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) is on the verge of releasing a major new operating system. Uncertain what prospects the new platform holds for them, hardware vendors are exhibiting renewed interest in shipping alternative operating systems, such as Linux, on their machines. Is it early 2007 again? Not quite, but it kind of seems that way in light of Asus’s introduction of a new Ubuntu netbook.
I've installed ubuntu's 12.10 version on my Asus eee pc 1000h netbook. But I think, it's so slow when it's opening windows or running web browser(chrome) or something else.
After a google research, I've noticed that this slowness might be caused by Unity.
Now, I wonder what is the best configuration of unity for netbooks or specifically my netbook.
Thanks.
Following Intel's announcement of its 32nm & Cedar Trail& N-Series Atoms, Acer, Asus, Lenovo, and MSI have all tipped netbook models equipped with the processors.
Hey
I'm looking for a linux netbook. My first choise is the EeePC 1225C which would be perfect for me. But the only store where I can find this netbook is the Italian Fnac store -> http://www.fnac.it/Asus-Eee-1225C-BK...a659083?PID=10
The problem is that they don't ship this to Belgium.
Ubuntu Netbook Edition (UNE) is a ‘remix’ of the standard Ubuntu Desktop release, enabling you to work better on devices with small screens, such as netbooks and sub-notebooks. You have access to all the same applications any Ubuntu user has, plus some enhancements to the user interface.
