ASUS Device Tracker and possible security threat (surveillance?)

http://forum.xda-developers.com – Perhaps some of you have already noticed, as I have recently, that there is something called Asus Device Tracker, which enables you to use a kind of stock backdoor in your device to track it via GPS, take a picture, make a loud sound, wipe data or block it when it gets stolen. It's nice to have something like this... but if you can do it with your device remotely when it's connected to the network, so can somebody else in power (ASUS, some hacker, the police, etc.). So the question is - does anyone know which app or process is responsible for it and how to disable it permanently? (HowTos)
