Hey guys i know all of you hate that goddamn ime switcher.heres how to remove it.
Step 1 have adb binaries and drivers on computer
Step 2 adb pull framework-res.apk
Step 3 take the apk and decompile it with apktool or other tool
Step 3 navigate to res/values/bools.xml
Step 4 look at line that contains words ime switcher....change the value from true to false ..its right there.....
Step 4 recompile

I soft bricked my One. I have a rom to flash but have no idea how to push it via adb. I am downloading the Android SDK now but can someone point me to a very clear step by step tutorial on how to push via adb? Everything I find on the internet seems to be geared to those who are already familiar with command prompts. I am not.

Here's a hypothetical situation that I'm trying to figure out:
Step 1: Buy a new phone, unlock the bootloader, root it, and put a custom recovery (TWRP or CWM) on it.
Step 2: Make a full backup (presumably saved in TWRP or CWM folder on SD)
Step 3: Revert back to stock and unroot the device.

how is this happening. my phone keeps going back to the same rom even though i have deleted the rom off of my sd card.
i need step by step instructions of hw to get rid of the rom for good and how to flash a new rom once that is done.
