I am new to Ubuntu, so forgive me if this is dumb or I don't give enough information. I am running Ubuntu 9.10. I cannot connect my camera to my computer. My camera is:
Kodak EasyShare V550.
I tried to download the software from the installation cd and I got the message:

I purchased a netgear wireless usb adapter. I used the package manner to download ndiswrapper. Then since the first step is supposed to be to run the CD, I put it in but it wont run. Even if I manually click on autorun.exe I just get this error message

I am getting the following message when I am trying to do a CanonScan 5600F installation and setup from CD-ROM

G'day all,
I just purchased some shares data which came on cd in a zip file.
When I try to copy the file from the cd I get a file input/output error.
This happens whether I use cp in a terminal or if I try to cut and paste on the desktop.
Like another person in this forum, I bought the AWUSO36H 802.11 B/G Long-Range USB Adapter for my computer running latest version of Ubuntu.
Problem is - I can't install the drivers. I open the CD folder and double click the runsetup but the following message comes back:

While unzipping files in linux i am getting error as:

End-of-central-directory signature not found. Either this file is not

I upgraded from ubuntu 9 to ubuntu 11.04. Everything went fine until the program was about finsished and then couldn't connect to the interenet. I now get the following message when I try to run a cd or load any software.

I'm trying to install World of Warcraft using wine and have tried following multiple online videos and forums to no luck unfortunately.
Every time I try to open the setup after it downloads this comes up..
